The Hudson Valley, and more specifically, the historic Seligmann Center in Orange County is our home. We believe everyone benefits from quality communities, where all generations are supported, everyone feels welcome, and well-being is paramount. Our greatest asset is our ability, flexibility, and willingness to address a wide range of quality-of-life initiatives, such as Agricultural and Open Space Preservation, Arts and Culture, Pathways and Placemaking, Advocacy and Planning, by making vital network connections to advance innovative initiatives.
In recent years, our organization has collaborated with new communities and welcomed new members. During this journey, we realized that our name no longer accurately reflected our collective mission. This realization sparked a transformative process that helped us redefine who we are and how we serve. In 2020, we changed our name from Orange County Citizens Foundation to Vision Hudson Valley to better represent our evolving mission and regional impact.
For over 50 years, we have been dedicated to improving lives and creating opportunities by serving, educating, preserving, and building vibrant spaces and places communities. We have incubated organizations like Leadership Orange and Hudson Valley Honor Flight, created treasured spaces like the Heritage Trail and the Arboretum, and acted as a catalyst for progress and innovation.
Vision Hudson Valley is a non-partisan, not-for-profit organization committed to enhancing the quality of life for all. As advocates, problem-solvers, educators, innovators, and connectors, we address critical issues such as placemaking, agriculture, and open space conservation. We invite everyone to join us in shaping a brighter future for the Hudson Valley—one rooted in collaboration and inspired by possibility.
