Orange County Citizens Foundation to host 44th Annual Meeting

  • Jul 22, 2015

Sugar Loaf, N.Y. – July 22, 2015 – The Orange County Citizens Foundation will host its 44th Annual Meeting & Cocktails on the Seligmann Lawn on Thursday, Sept. 10 at 5 p.m.

The 44th Annual Meeting & Cocktails on the Seligmann Lawn will bring together Foundation members and supporters to celebrate a year of positive impact and to learn more about the Foundation’s ongoing quality of life initiatives. The 2015 Seligmann Award will also be presented, this year honoring the late Anne M. Coon.

Guests are invited to explore the Seligmann grounds and facilities, including the Seligmann home, onsite sculpture displays, and the Citizens Foundation’s Robert Fagan Art Library. There will also be exclusive previews of two of the Foundation’s newest exhibitions.

“It is a joy to greet the friends and supporters whose generosity helps make the Foundation’s work possible year after year,” said Nancy Proyect, president of the Orange County Citizens Foundation. “We look forward to sharing our goals for the coming year, and celebrating Anne’s amazing life, and all she did for so many in our community.”

The Seligmann Award is presented annually to recognize unparalleled commitment to arts and culture in Orange County. Anne M. Coon was a dedicated community servant and passionate supporter of the arts. She was involved in everything from helping showcase local talent to historical preservation; she was a wonderful artist, tireless member of countless boards and committees, and museum docent. Even in retirement, she worked as the Cultural Affairs coordinator at SUNY Orange’s Newburgh campus.

Tickets to the 44th Annual Meeting & Cocktails on the Seligmann Lawn are $75 per person. An array of hors d’ouevres will be served throughout the evening, with wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages. A cash bar will also be available. Live and silent auctions will also benefit the Foundation.
